We're a tiny family in a big world. But our love is going to pierce it.

Life at the Cottage
This summer has been fun getting to have a little one to experience things with. Our next door neighbor Shawn commented on how incredible it is to look at our little one-year old Colette and watch as she sees so many things for the first time! So true. Living in the cottage has its ups and downs. It isn't the most child proof home but we've made do and have built up quite the store of memories. Being in the third trimester all summer made things difficult as well my sweet Colette! I hope you won't hold it against me that I couldn't play a more active role with you this summer.
Your dad took you out in the lake only a few times but you really liked it! I didn't feel up to venturing out there but I loved putting you in your pool and dipping my feet in. I laughed so hard as I observed your first encounter with an ant! Unforgettable. The last few weeks of my pregnancy, you and I took some long walks to get your sister out. You never liked the stroller much so to keep you happy I would give you berries from the trees along our path. You loved the them...which was evident by the stains we always came home with.
